Some Thoughts as UAE will Turn 50

  It is great to witness a great milestone in the history of a nation -- United Arab Emirates . Imagine being in the Land of Opportunities, in the City of Gold, as it turns 50 in just few days, on 2 December 2021 (Thursday).  I have been here for more than 15 years. Life has its ups and downs, but to survive all and remain standing on a safe ground is something to be grateful for. The UAE ranks FIRST with 95% score in the  Gallup Global Law and Order 2021 report . This is a great attractor to investors, and yes, for families particularly for women.  The picture I inserted here shows high-rise buildings that get through the fog, and seen above the clouds. Everybody and anybody can dream high here, and many people so far have reached the heights of success they have chased with great determination and enthusiasm. Am toying the idea of 50 in my mind and here are my thoughts in random, and I will add more later, just to make the number more meaningful for me, personally,...

Belly Dancer

Life in the UAE is not complete without viewing a stunning belly dancer passionately performing a traditional mid-eastern dance as a way of telling her story on heart-melting upbeats. Every move is controlled at her core through internal muscles. I extremely enjoyed a Desert Safari tour with my son and cousin after witnessing a joyful show -- something tribal but elegant and magical! My painting allowed me to put my soul in this woman -- beautifully expressing her feminity, forgetting the real world and moving to the rhythms of life as natural as she could be.

SuperMoon

I painted "SuperMoon" for my great love of moon, and light in the darkness. In the Middle East, I have experienced some of my darkest moments after the worst economic downturn, the Great Recession. T he sight of the moon, how Arabs value moon, and how God-sent 'moon' inspired me to be in spiritual balance with the universe, and  helped me bridge the fires of scarcity and some people's cruelty. Heaven sends me an extra ton of hope when I see the moon. I know that my family and I view only one and the same moon. This makes me feel closer to them, in harmony with a subtle energy, with them. Feel the power when you look at the moon hanging in the vast black sky. It sends you energy  that uplifts your soul.
